Argentina released their 12-player roster to the FIVB Volleyball Men's U23 World Championship
Buenos Aires, Argentina, July 31, 2015 – Argentina released the official roster of players that will travel to the United Arab Emirates for the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U23 World Championship from August 24 to 31.
The coaching staff released the roster, which included Pablo Kukartsev, Ignacio Fernandez, Gonzalo Quiroga, and nine U21 players such as setters Matias Sanchez and Gaspar Bitar, opposite German Johansen, middle blockers Joaquin Gallego, Gaston Fernandez, Edgar Vieira, and outside spikers, Nicolas Lazo, Bruno Lima and Brian Melgarejo.
The Argentine squad will play for the second consecutive time in the tournament after their seventh place finish in the first edition in Uberlandia, Brazil in 2013.
The participating countries in the second edition are Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Egypt, Tunisia, Iran, Korea, Italy, Russia, Turkey, Argentina and the hosts United Arab Emirates.
The men’s U23 World Championship is one of the FIVB’s newest competitions that celebrate the athlete’s talent in volleyball at all ages around the world. The FIVB will also bringing an international event to the United Arab Emirates for the first time, presenting a diverse vision that ensures everyone in the world to have access in celebrating the game.
