Italy rout UAE for second Men's U23 win

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 25, 2015 – Italy defeated United Arab Emirates in straight sets (25-20, 25-13, 25-12) on the second day 2015 FIVB Men's U23 World Championship at "Al Nasr" hall on Tuesday.

Gabriele Nelli was the driving force for the Italians, powering spikes around the court and unleashing some wicked serves. He had a match-high 11 points and was the most impressive player in the win. As usual Khamis Alsuwaidi  played a strong supporting role for UAE, chipping in with 13 points. 

Italy improved their competition record to 2-0, while the hosts became 0-2. 

Italy faced a solid opponent in the first set as Emirates team stayed near with their proper reception and backline defence. Italy was ahead at the first TTO 8-6 through a spike from Gabriele Nelli and continued 16-13 in the second TTO with Khamis Alsuwaidi doing a great role in attacks. Finally Italy won the set 25-20. 

With the experience of Italian players they controlled the match completely in the second and third sets as it was easy for the World Junior ranked No 3 to easily pass to easier win 25-13 and 25-12.
