Turkey outclass Tunisia in straight sets

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, August 25, 2015 – Turkey kept their rhythm to take on Tunisia 3-0  (25-20, 25-22, 25-14) in the second day Pool B action of the 2015 Men's U23 World Championship at Al Ahly Hall on Tuesday.

Turkey improved their record to 2-0, while the Africans dropped to 0-2.

Turkey’s Metin Toy produced 22 points for the winning team. Tunisia’s best scorer was Messelmeni Karim with 13 points.

The game at Al Ahli Club started point by point between two teams. Neither team took the control until second technical timeout which Tunisia led 16-15. After that point Turkish team made a big difference on the net and won the set 25-20.

With opposite Metin Toy’s effective spikes, Turkey led 8-5 in the first technical timeout. Tunisia made a comeback and levelled the game at 9-all but African team could not stay competitive at the end again and young Turkish team won the set 25-22.

Turkey took the early lead at 7-2 by middle blocker Emre Savas’s smart serves. Tunisia could not be able to pass Turkish block and Turkey extended the gap to double digits at the end and won the set 25-14.
