Brazil’s U23 team have the distinction of being the first ever winners of the FIVB Volleyball Men’s U23 World Championship two years ago. This year’s team can boast four players from that 2013 gold-medal winning side; setters Thiaguinho and Fernandinho, middle blocker Aracaju and opposite spiker Alan. They are joined by the likes of wing spiker Douglas, who helped Brazil scoop silver at the Pan-American games. At only 19, he is one of the stars of the team. The side is captained by setter Thiaguinho is the captain of the team.
