Sheikh Rashid Maktoum Sports Hall

Host City: Dubai

Dubai is the most populous city and emirate in the United Arab Emirates, and the second largest emirate by territorial size after the capital, Abu Dhabi.[3]

The city is located on the southeast coast of the Arabian Peninsula and is one of the seven emirates that make up the country.

Dubai has emerged as a global city and business hub of the Persian Gulf region.[6]  It has also recently attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects and sports events.

The FIVB Volleyball Men’s U23 World Championship will be the first FIVB volleyball tournament to be held in Dubai since the Boys’ U19 World Championship in 1989.

Venue: Sheikh Rashid Maktoum Sports Hall

The Sheikh Rashid Maktoum Sports Hall forms part of the Hamdan Sports Complex and has a capacity of 3,000.

It is the first time the venue has ever hosted any volleyball event. Completed in 2010, the arena has welcomed the 2010 FINA World Swimming Championships as well as the 2014 FIBA Under-17 World Championship.
